Tall and narrow 18th-century mirror in very good condition, notable for its large openwork pediment resting on a sculpted frame in gold-leafed wood. The pediment features a period hat accompanied by a musical instrument and tools, topped with laurel branches that are also found at the base. The rectangular frame, which encases the mercury mirror, is carved with friezes of beads and heart-shaped motifs. In each corner, a rose is raised and accompanied by laurel leaves. At the bottom, the mirror is equipped with leafy feet. This mirror comes with a small page of history featuring handwritten notes of the recipient and the date "22 June 1768." ****** Period: 2nd half of the 18th century. Very good condition.
