Ancient Empire secretary in walnut and bronze, Italy, 19th century

Empire secretary in walnut. The drawer of the lower part slightly protrudes, supported by turned half-columns with bases and capitals in chiselled and gilded bronze. The drop front conceals a bar cabinet with a mirrored front, replacing the original piece. The base features a pair of panelled doors, half-column uprights like those of the upper part, and truncated pyramid feet. Brass appliqués and mouldings. Italy, early 19th century.
