Set of 5 Basket model chairs (1951) designed by Gianfranco Legler (born in 1922 in Ponte San Pietro, Italy; died in 2015 in Zurich). A Swiss interior architect and designer, he moved to the United States in 1951. One of his most important creations is the Basket Chair, which he designed for a restaurant in his hometown of Locate. Composed of a seat in blonde rattan and a black metal base, its design was awarded the "Good Design Award" in New York in 1953.
