Superb large two-part dresser made of fruitwood, probably walnut or cherry, showcasing a magnificent antique patina with warm honey and golden brown tones, an authentic testament to French provincial rustic furniture from the late 17th or early 18th century. The upper section consists of a series of grooved shelves, designed to proudly display your finest plates, all topped with an imposing moulded cornice in the shape of a gendarme's hat, an unmistakable signature of the French provincial style of the period. The lower section, equally elegant, reveals two drawers with delicate drop-shaped metal handles, as well as two doors with geometric, shaped panels, framed by charming turned columns and enhanced with carefully crafted wrought iron fittings. The top shows signs of wear, with some cracks and chips at the corners, precious marks of its age and undeniable proof of its authenticity. The whole piece commands attention with its presence and sturdiness, characteristic qualities of fine French peasant furniture. A rare character piece, ideal for enhancing a kitchen, dining room, or a chic country-style interior. Dimensions: H. 215 cm × W. 60 cm — Weight: approximately 100 kg. Low buffet height 92.5 cm. Sold as is. Collection on site is recommended due to the dimensions and weight.
