This sideboard is an icon of 20th-century Scandinavian furniture. Created in the 1960s by designer Arne Vodder, a close associate of Finn Juhl, it is made here of teak, partly in solid wood. The lines and volumes of its body are crafted with the gradual refinement of the front uprights and the rounding of the edges and corners. In the centre, there are four drawers with hand grips integrated into the mass, a small sliding door on the left, and a large curtain door on the right, so finely crafted that the slats are barely discernible. The straight and tapered legs are stylised like a ginkgo leaf. A fine strip finishes the top surface for an elegant support against the wall. Please note: there are some dents on the sliding door, a repair has been made on the upright of the curtain door, and there are signs of discolouration, the outline of a stamp, and ripples on the top surface. Its overall appearance is excellent and extremely attractive, and its structural condition is perfect. The described flaws quickly fade in the presence of the beauty of this quality piece. For my part, it’s a real favourite! Dimensions: l 240 cm x d 50 cm x h 80 cm.
