Vintage GFM-64 a high backrest armchair, designed by Edmund Homa and produced in the 1960s at the Gościcińska Furniture Factory in Poland. This model is a classic example of postwar Polish modernist design. The armchair features a solid beech wood frame, with turned legs, supportive beams beneath the seat, a structural element for the backrest, and long, gently contoured armrests. The craftsmanship is visible in the proportions and subtle shaping of the wooden elements, which balance both function and form. The seat and backrest have been newly upholstered in white-beige fabric "Hallingdal 65" from Kvadrat. The high backrest enhances comfort and adds a sense of lightness to the overall silhouette. A footrest designed by Edmund Homa to complement this version of the GFM-64 may also be available upon request.
