Sommerso glass ashtray from Arte Nuova, Murano, Italy, 1960s.

Incredible vintage glass sommerso ashtray from Murano. Made by Arte Nuova in the 1950s/60s, this piece is unmarked but can be found online with a label stating "Arte Nuova Murano, Pustetto & Zanetti, Made in Italy." It features an amazing combination of green glass, framed in an amber glass band and further framed in clear glass using the famous Venetian sommerso technique. It is very well preserved, showing the expected patina of an object over 50 years old, with no cracks or chips.
