Set of 4 deep plates made of ironstone, featuring two French productions: Céranord Saint-Amand with a geometric red-burgundy design and Villeroy & Boch Mettlac – design G. Bouery distributed by Le Grand Dépôt Paris with a blue-grey and red scattered pattern. An old association that is very balanced between two decorative styles: on one side, a graphic geometry that is almost architectural, and on the other, a more free and light design with modernist accents. Stamped: The two Grand Dépôt plates particularly draw attention due to their uncommon stamp V&B.M. 1647 – "Decor by" G. Bouery accompanied by the seal Le Grand Dépôt – rue Drouot Paris. The decoration attributed to G. Bouery remains very poorly documented today and rarely appears on the market. The stamp seems to indicate a production from the 1920s (to be confirmed). In good vintage condition with normal signs of use consistent with age, slight marks of use, discreet patina of time, a slight bulge defect at the bottom of one of the Céranord plates, and fine natural crazing of the glaze visible on some pieces (see photos). Céranord diameter 22.5 cm, height 3.5 cm. Grand Dépôt E. Bourgeois diameter 25.5 cm, height 3 cm. Discreet graphic elegance and charm of a composed collection.
