Louis XVI style medallion armchair

Louis XVI style medallion armchair in natural wood, France, first half of the 20th century. Carved wooden structure resting on four turned and fluted legs. The medallion-shaped backrest is slightly inclined. The armrests are moulded, finished with a scroll, and topped with a cushion matching the seat. The entire piece is covered in a multicoloured floral fabric on a greyed turquoise background, secured by a row of aged brass upholstery nails. This armchair reflects a design inspired by Louis XVI models, understated in its ornamentation and balanced in its proportions. Height: 93 cm. Width: 59 cm. Depth: 59 cm.
