Large layered pendant light by Mogens Davidsen for Superlight. Denmark 1970s

A large multi layered pendant light by danish designer mogens davidsen. This xl (50 cm wide) light gives a very wide soft spread downwards over a large table as well as displaying a decorative light effect along the sides. The construction is completely glare free to the sides and the matte white powder coating provides a discreet slick look. Very few signs of time in the lacquer. Very slight unevenness along the rim of the largest disc. Standard e 27 light bulb socket. Superlight was founded by mogens davidsen in gamle rye, denmark in 1970. The company still exists today and produces high quality lighting designed and manufactured in denmark under the name david superlight.
