Vintage mid century swedish framed oil painting - garden party

A wonderful and delightful scene of a garden party. Two ladies are sat on a bench, chatting away and drinking tea from a table with a beautiful floral arrangement, as they watch their 2 young daughters play nearby. The artist has composed the scene in an impressionist manner, reminiscent of the famous garden party works by pierre-auguste renoir. Short and swift brushstrokes have been used to capture the dappled sunlight shining through the trees and the open field on this warm summer’s day; and the overall composition has calm qualities and distinct elegance to it. Th oil on canvas is in excellent vintage condition. It is is housed in a thin gilt frame, that has minor areas of paint loss. Size: 53 X 43 cm (including frame).
