Armchair Tolix A56 by Jean Pauchard 1956

Original a56 armchair by tolix. Height 73 cm. Seat height 42 cm. Width with armrests 48.5 cm. Seat depth 35 cm. Structure and feet in good condition. The original color can be seen under the chair. "the tolix a56 armchair is today an iconic seat of industrial design. Its structure is based on model a on which an arm backrest has been added. The tubular arms arranged recessed extend to form the structure of the low backrest. We find the four-legged base made of sheet metal cut, stamped and welded in the center of the four sides of the belt. Their tapered shape is arranged in a slight oblique with a tubular lower end. The x-shaped brace under the seat reinforces the structure and allows for better stacking of the chairs. The a56 armchair takes its name from its date of creation in 1956. It was designed by jean pauchard, the son of tolix founder xavier pauchard. The 2019 version has a wider base.".
