Pair of brass candlesticks with double square decorated with repoussé details

Period: ca. Late 19th - early 20th century. An attractive and rather unique pair of brass candle holders with a double square design. The entire surface of the square foot has intricate floral motifs, satyr heads and fleurs-de-lis. The details of this repelling work are very sharp and of a very high quality. The foot is replicated in a second perfectly matched square platform that serves as a bobèche. The long handles are adorned with a satyr's head. Status: very good. No damage. Dimensions: 17.5 cm long. 10 X 10 cm wide, 7 cm high, 0.260 kg each.
