Large vintage Foucard-Jourdan Vallauris green ceramic bowl; 1960s

Beautiful large vintage bowl signed by the Foucard-Jourdan workshop from Vallauris (Alpes-Maritimes), one of the historic pottery families of the town. This imposing piece features a lovely speckled green glaze typical of Provençal productions from the 1960s, with pretty metallic iridescent reflections that change with the light. The shape is wide and low, with two sculptural handles in rolled volutes on the sides and a slight spout integrated on one edge. It makes a beautiful decorative object or a characterful centrepiece bowl. Dimensions: Body diameter: 29 cm. Diameter with handles: 31.5 cm. Height: 12 cm. Weight: 1.35 kg. Mark under the base: Foucard-Jourdan Vallauris A.M. Good vintage condition with character. There is a visible hairline crack on one side (clearly visible in the photos). Some minor enamel wear on the edges and handles, normal for its age. The piece remains structurally stable and presents very well. To be handled with care. Not recommended for intensive food use or in the dishwasher.
