Cubist bottle vase in stoneware signed Alfajar (Málaga) - 20 cm

Superb bottle vase (model "Tensión") in contemporary stoneware, entirely handmade and painted at the famous Spanish workshop Alfajar in Málaga. This unique piece dates from the years 1990-2010. This vase features a magnificent double-sided design: • Side A: A graphic portrait inspired by Cubism/Picasso, created with bold black lines, textured areas, and touches of earthy colours. • Side B: An abstract and expressionist decoration playing with textures, drips of blue oxides, and shades of brown. The work combines complex techniques of wax resist and sgraffito, typical of the workshop's craftsmanship. The piece is hand-signed "Alfajar" with the artisan's initials directly in the decoration.
