Art deco night service

2550 - art deco period, after andries dirk copier (1901-1991), this unsigned night service in purple glass in good condition. No cracks or chips with only micro-scratches of use under the bases of each piece and on the trayi attesting to their age. It includes the rimmed tray, 1 pitcher and a cup to the model. The material, color and shape with this ringed base are typical of this glass artist who was also a talented designer, goldsmith, bookbinder and ceramist. It was spotted by a dutch manufacturer and art collector, petrus marinus cochius (1874-1938), director of glasfabriek leerdam's glassworks who aimed to make the right glass accessible to everyone hoping that the people who lived every day in a beautifully designed environment would become better people. Top diameter 228 mm X 22 mm high. Height of the pitcher 170 mm X 165 mm with handle and cup 94 mm X 76 mm. Weight 1310 g. Very neat and followed expedition.
