Pair of scandinavian chairs j46 design poul m. Volther, 1956. Fdb møbler editor. Poul m. Volther is also the designer of the j110 (hay) chair. The design of the chair marked a break with the tradition of the time which favored heavy chairs. The v-shaped backrest, formed by its 6 fan bars makes it particularly recognizable, as does its apparent lightness. Also, the chair quickly found its place in thousands of danish homes. Black lacquered beech. Good structural condition, marks of use. (missing paint camouflaged) Seat height 44 cm. Inseparable pair.
