◼ THE STORY & DESIGN Two matching Executive armchairs in burgundy leather — the least common shade for this model, and the one that works best with wood, brass, or a dark wall. The chair was designed by Charles Pollock in 1963 for Knoll International. Its distinctive feature is immediately noticeable: the chrome-plated aluminium rim that encircles the entire shell, supports the structure, and shines around the seat. They obviously work around a desk, but they are not limited to that: two on either side of a fireplace, one in a reading corner, both facing a coffee table. The low seat at 45 cm makes them true armchairs, not office chairs. One point to know before purchasing: these vintage four-legged models swivel 360 degrees but do not adjust in height. ◼ TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Model Executive · Charles Pollock · Knoll International · 1960s-70s. The leathers are supple, clean, and very well preserved. The shells and chrome are in good condition. In full transparency: one of the two chairs has a pen mark on the seat. It is extremely light, almost invisible to the naked eye — we prefer to mention it rather than let it be discovered.
