Suspension Space Age by Herbert Proft published by Limburg, Germany 1970

Very beautiful and important pendant light from around 1970 by designer Herbert Proft, produced by the highly regarded German manufacturer Limburg (label on the body), in the Space Age style of that era. A tubular gallery in chrome-plated brass supports a very beautiful and significant semi-spherical globe, curved underneath in milky white opaline (providing a lovely soft light), all suspended by a steel cable coupled with the electrical wire. The opaline measures 32 cm in diameter and 16 cm in height, the chrome body is 9 cm in diameter and 28 cm in height, and the satin black metal ceiling rose (replaced) is 10 cm in diameter and 5 cm in height. The light fixture is adjustable in height up to 120 cm. In perfect condition and of exceptional quality, this stunning pendant will add a true 70s chic touch to an entrance or above a dining table.
