2 old gien earthenware dessert plates. They are part of a series whose theme is "proverbs and military" and as often in these typical 19th century talking plates, they are treated in a humorous way. Plates have slight manufacturing defects with slight groove-shaped gaps in the enamel (see photos) Weight of a plate 280g. 1st plate "glory is only dust and manure" 2nd plate "there's a long way to go!" Plate diameter 20.2 cm / 7.95" As the photos show, these plates are old and may have traces left by time.
