Cup on pedestal by Pol Chambost, circa 1970

We love this large chalice vase by the French ceramicist Pol Chambost. A sculptor but self-taught in ceramics, he made a major contribution to this art in post-war France through his creations. In white clay with milky off-white enamel and orange interior, this vase is a fine example of his art. Marked below Chambost, made in France and in the shape 2046. Very slight chip on the neck. Circa 1970.
