Vintage Italian design glass Carlo Moretti Murano pendant lamp

A very beautiful Italian design glass pendant lamp. This lamp features a unique Murano glass shade with an aubergine colour running spontaneously through the otherwise milky white and transparent glass. The shade is attached to a chrome tube with three nicely finished pins holding the glass. The tube has slots to allow any residual heat to escape. The cord is twisted around a steel wire up to the ceiling cap. This lamp was designed and produced around 1970. Carlo Moretti is a 'factory of originals', founded in 1958 by Carlo and Giovanni Moretti, combining innovation and continuous research. Unique pieces, signed with their recognizable style, in a stylistically clean form. With colourful and marbled glass designs and later also drinking glasses and more decorative vases. The company is still active and continues to produce glassware. CONDITION: Good condition, the chrome has some light spots typical for its age. The glass has tiny imperfections.
