'Orrido Canyon' dining table, designed by the avant-garde design couple Paolo Pallucco & Mireille Rivier in 1987 for Pallucco Italy. Rare table, especially in this silver lacquered version. The table has a sculptural metal structure, lacquered in metallic silver, with 3 cylindrical angled legs. The round tempered glass top allows full transparency of the beautiful structure. Paolo Palucco & Mireille Rivier are highly respected for their non-conformist approach to design, blending elements of sculptural artwork with irrational objects. At the same time their work is made with an exceptional level of craftsmanship. Their radical furniture would be 'Duro, Semplice Chiaro (Hard, simple and Clear), a formula inspired by Tohji Murata, artistic director of Comme des Garcons. The table is in very good original condition. Only 1 tiny chip at the underside of the glass top, as visible in last photo.
