Structure entirely made of epoxy lacquered steel: tubular column 100×30 mm, base 350×350 mm in thick sheet metal, independent shelves 190×140 mm. Robust and very stable once loaded. The Sapiens principle: books placed flat on the shelves make the structure disappear, leaving only a column of suspended books — a striking visual effect that has made this piece famous.
