Mod. 553 Table Lamp by Oscar Torlasco for Lumi, Collectible Italian Design

Rare and sought-after "Mod. 553" table lamp in brass and bakelite, designed by Oscar Torlasco for Lumi. Like most of his creations, the fixture features a distinctive trumpet-shaped lampshade, which holds inside the light bulb and is topped by a glass lens that enhances the illumination. Details in black bakelite render the lamp timeless and elegant, providing a beautiful contrast with the brass body. The lamp is preserved in very good original condition and is fully functional, including the original plug and switch. It presents a pleasant overall patina with some signs of time, including minor scratches and dents consistent with age and use. Designed and manufactured in Italy during the 1950s.
