English design 1930s art-deco odeon pendant lamp, giant clam shell design.original art-deco pendant or ceiling lamp, composed of a gold or bronze colored anodized (chrome) metal frame with 3 arms on which 3 large clam shell type of shades (based on the shape of tridacna or giant clam shell) have been attached. The shades are made of moulded / pressed glass, frosted or satinated on the inside and on the outside. The lamp comes with 3 new chrome chains, to be attached to the hooks on the arms. The three chains come together in a metal split ring, to be attached to the metal ring of the ceiling rose. The porcelain lamp holder with strain relief and white wire comes to hang free out of the ceiling rose and is not used for hanging the lamp. The lamp comes with all materials for hanging: 3 metal chains each 80 cm to be shortened as required. brass coloured ceiling rose (new) with built-in hook for hanging from the ceiling. e27 porcelain lamp holder (new) with white wire, 115 cm to be shortened as required. two pin terminal block connector. In order to prevent damages and broken shades the 3 glass shades are taken out of the metal frame and individually packed before shipping. For re-assembly have a look at the photo of the inside with the various mounting brackets on each arm. The lamp is, after 90 years, in good original vintage condition. The bronze colored anodized metal frame is showing traces of wear from use and age. The glass shades have, from production, rough unpolished edges and show a few hardly visible fleabites on the edges from use and age. The side edges of the glass shades will show some flea bites where the shades are connected to the frame, but not seen when hanging. In view of the age the lamp is in good condition. Free delivery.
