Mid century modern retro danish grey 'Maria' beech lounge armchair by Stouby

Description: an elegant danish modern 'maria' lounge chair, designed and manufactured by Stouby. Please note we also have a matching 'maria' 3 seat sofa to accompany this chair, which can be found in a separate listing. The chair is upholstered with two cushions, in a gray cotton weave fabric. The backrest cushion features subtle button detailing all round, with leather tie detail to the rear. This particular model of stouby chair still retails today for upwards of £1, 000 new. The piece has a particularly stylish open beech wood frame, with spindle detail around the sides and rear. The Stouby manufacturers stitching can also be found underneath the seat cushion and on the base of the chair.
