Twelve Baccarat crystal knife rests, Houdon pattern. 19th century. Unsigned, as they were produced before 1936. Featured in the 19th-century Baccarat catalog. This model is based on the sculpture of the King of Rome by Jean-Antoine Houdon. The angel heads are made of frosted crystal, while the rest is polished crystal. In very good condition, with one minor chip on the body of one knife rest and two very small, barely visible chips (see photos). Overall, they remain in excellent condition for their age. It is rare to find a set of twelve in such fine condition.
