The chest features a hinged lid with a molded edge, an inset front panel, and paneled sides. The curved lower rail and cabriole legs show Louis XV influence. Wooden pegs are visible in the frame joints. The cherry wood has a warm brown color with variations in grain and tone. The interior offers a large storage compartment, with a darker finish and signs of wear. Two wooden crossbars reinforce the underside of the lid. Today, this chest can be used to store blankets, linens, or other household items. Condition: The chest shows signs of age and use, including surface marks, scratches, small cracks, and wood wear. The interior retains a darker surface with signs of wear. Antique wooden furniture may show traces of old woodworm. All our wooden furniture is treated preventively against woodworm.
