Iconic and very sculptural stoneware teapot in a modernist style, from the famous "Ringeling" series. This major post-war piece was created in 1965 by the Dutch master potter and designer Herman Zaalberg (II) for the renowned Potterij Zaalberg in Zoeterwoude (Netherlands). This work stands out for its clean organic lines and raw texture with a Scandinavian spirit. The body features a matte iron gray (or brown shadow sand) glaze of beautiful mineral density. It is topped with its characteristic concave lid, entirely covered with a satin chocolate brown glazed finish that creates a superb interplay of materials. The base bears its official factory stamp embossed in relief, certifying its historical authenticity. A hallmark of mid-20th century design for ceramic enthusiasts. Features: • Designer / Master Potter: Herman Zaalberg (II) • Manufacture: Potterij Zaalberg (Netherlands) • Collection / Archive Model: Ringeling (1965) • Material: Heavy stoneware fired at high temperature. • Dimensions: Length (spout to handle) 24 cm|Width 16 cm|Height 13 cm. • Condition: Mint condition. The raw material and the glazes of the lid have retained their superb original freshness.
