Folk art painted bridal wardrobe

Beautiful pine bridal wardrobe dating from 1847. This wardrobe is beautifully crafted and features extremely decorative paintwork including floral and marble decorations. This example is in good condition considering its age, although there are of course some slight signs of use. The wardrobe has a well-functioning key lock and is equipped with shelves, a drawer, and a clothes rail inside. If desired, shelves can easily be added. In the past, it was customary to give bridal furniture like this as a gift to the couple at a wedding. This furniture was then placed on the farm in a stately room that was only rarely used for high-ranking visitors or special occasions. A wonderful piece of decorative history. This specimen probably comes from the Zillertal (Austria). 180 cm high, 140 cm wide, 52 cm deep.
