Charming and authentic set of 4 antique stemmed glasses made of blown and engraved glass, dating from the mid-19th century (circa 1850). A typical testament to popular glassmaking of the time, each glass features a unique naive shape and engraving done by wheel or point: Glass 1: Hunting scene (game / undergrowth) Glass 2: Sentimental inscription "Friendship" within a leafy crown. Glasses 3 and 4: Popular floral decorations (bells / flowers and foliage) Authenticity & Handmade Craftsmanship: Old handmade production: slight irregularities in shape, air bubble(s) from blowing, and slight variations in dimensions between the glasses. Baluster button or swelling at the top of the stem. Dimensions: Height: From 14 cm to 14.5 cm. Diameter of the rim: From 6.5 cm to 7.5 cm. Condition: Good overall condition for pieces of this era. No chips or major cracks on the rims and stems. To note: A visible scratch on the body of one of the glasses (highlighted in detail photo) as well as some normal micro-scratches from use for century-old pieces.
