Large table lamp in ceramic by danish allan hytholm 1980s. It measures 21 cm in height (28 cm including the socket) 20 cm in diameter and weighs 1675 grams. The lamp is in great condition with no chips, cracks or other defects and only minimal wear. Allan has made a professional living from his art since 1972 when he opened his own workshop. Allan was trained at the royal porcelain factory's development department from 1962-1967, where he was awarded a silver medal for his graduation project. His long education and professional career means that today he has extensive experience in the many possibilities of ceramics. Between 1972 and 1979, allan made countless models for others. During this period, he worked closely with several large companies and artists in denmark and abroad, including bjørn wiinblad, rosenthal germany and knabstrup, among others. He has done several decorating assignments at home and abroad, business awards, church decorations and countless unique works. Over the years, allan has sold some of his work to norway, japan, usa and germany and of course in denmark. In connection with the opening of egedal municipality's new town hall on november 18, 2014, allan made the gift that was presented to queen margrethe. A bulb is included in the purchase (has a standard e26/e27 socket) the screen holder you see in the pictures is also included. Packed securely and shipped with insurance.
