Christophe Gevers, GE101 White Table Lamp for Light

GE 101 table lamp by Belgian interior architect Christophe Gevers for Light, Belgium, 1970s. The model reflects Gevers' idea that lighting should participate in the architecture of a room, a principle he developed across interiors for restaurants, banks and private residences. Executed in lacquered metal with a bent tubular support and cylindrical diffuser. This example is untouched, original and in very good authentic condition, with a soft patina consistent with age. No longer in production and increasingly hard to find, its modest construction gives the GE 101 the quiet authority typical of Gevers' modernist lighting designs.
