Rare ceramic jug from Vallauris stamped A. Maunier (Alain Maunier). • Classic baluster jug shape (bulbous body, slightly flared neck, simple handle). • Light blue/turquoise glaze with a characteristic "brushed" or striated effect. • Black geometric decoration (frieze of alternating black triangles with outlined ovals or diamonds), typical of Maunier's mid-century modern style in the 1960s. • Handmade production from Vallauris, in line with the decorative ceramics of the time (less "artistic" than Picasso/Madoura or Capron, but very representative of the quality mainstream production of the town). Authentic piece for a mid-century touch in a contemporary interior. The sale price takes into account a chip under the base, which is invisible when the jug is placed, otherwise in good condition.
