Venini 21 Murano hexagonal hand blown glasses chandelier, Italy 1960s

This rare chandelier was produced in italy by the famous glassworks venini around the 1960s. The chandelier is composed of two levels with 21 hexagonal crystal canes: 12 long at the higher level and nine shorter at the bottom. They are mounted to the cream-painted metal structure hanged on the metal 50 cm long chain. Great example of italian mid-century design is a decoration in itself, either lit or unlit, creating a wonderfully lavish and impressive effect. The dazzling light effect comes from the central bulb illuminating through the crystal glasses. The chandelier remains in an overall good vintage condition, but some glass pieces show a minor wear. Some of the metal nuts are missing, but they were replaced. The lamp is fully functional with the original wiring. Chandelier dimensions: height: 40cm diameter: 35cm.
