German lustre Space Age mid-century by Doria Leuchten, 1960s

Vintage design. Imposing chandelier from the renowned manufacturer Doria Leuchten. The structural glass elements fragment and enhance the light from the lamp inside, making it both a functional lamp and a light object. The glass elements are arranged in a ring and supported by rods. The glass tubes are separated by simple spacers. The underside of the chandelier is covered by a plain metal plate. This combination of simple metal elements and decorative glass gives this impressive design a rather factual appearance. The glass elements are hollow inside, adding extra transparency and lightness.
