Bubble glass big carafe Biot 42 cm

Bubble glass carafe from Biot, France, circa 1980. Carafe from the famous glassworks of Biot, identifiable by its bubble glass created by the intentional inclusion of small air bubbles during blowing. Rare and very decorative aubergine colour, gourd shape with a matching spherical stopper. Handmade piece, each example being unique due to its manual shaping. Label from the Biot glassworks on the underside. Height: 42 cm. Diameter: 15 cm. Very good condition, with some bubbles and irregularities typical of the manufacturing process.
