Large vintage gien chevreuse model dish

Lots of charm for this large vintage ironstone platter from the Gien factory, Chevreuse model. A hand-painted decoration with a combination of torchon checks and flowers for an original model: an interlacing of wavy red and blue lines forms a grid filled with a stylized wine red and navy blue flower on an ivory background. Stamped Gien: the stamp allows us to date this model to the period 1938-1960. Very good condition, very shiny, some micro scratches from use and a chip under the underside on the edge.
