Tecta D44 dining chair set 1980s

Set of four D44 armchairs, designed by Axel Bruchhäuser for Tecta in the 1980s. Black woven shells gently wrap around the seat and are supported by slender chromed tubular-steel frames. The cantilevered construction provides a subtle flex and forms a refined contrast with the dense, handcrafted weaving. An elegant set combining Bauhaus influences with the softer and more decorative design language of the 1980s. In very good vintage condition with light signs of use consistent with age.
