An iconic piece of French post-war furniture, this three-drawer chest embodies the popular modernism of the 1950s: simple and functional lines, generously crafted wood, and a faded blonde hue that naturally warms contemporary interiors. A piece of furniture rooted in its time, perfectly relevant today. Materials: beech. Features: this vintage chest stands at the front on two slightly flared V-shaped legs, characteristic of reconstruction furniture. The three drawers with ample capacity are adorned with horizontally grooved fronts, a decorative detail that adds rhythm to the façade and reflects the care taken in its manufacture. The corners of the body are rounded, giving the whole a soft and balanced silhouette. The drawers slide well. Renovation: as the chest was painted, it was sanded to reveal its natural wood, then protected with a lightly tinted oil that highlights the beautiful grain of the wood and its honey colour. It has also been washed. Dimensions: L70 X D37 X H80. Drawers: L58 X H14. Ideal for a bedroom, hallway, or living room, this chest fits seamlessly into both a natural and warm interior as well as a more contrasting decor where the light beech plays the card of lightness. A useful piece of furniture full of character.
