Superb and authentic deep plate / bowl from the Meiji period (19th century) in Imari porcelain (Japan). It stands out for its exceptional work on the rim, entirely pierced with a design of interlaced rings painted. The richly coloured central decoration in cobalt blue, iron red, and gold features traditional floral motifs of chrysanthemums and Japanese screens. Underneath, it bears the famous Fuku (福) mark of happiness painted in cobalt blue under the glaze. Origin: Japan (Arita / Imari) Period: 19th century. Condition: The enamel decoration and gilding are beautifully preserved, and the porcelain has a magnificent resonance. Please note: A small discreet chip on the upper edge (see zoomed photo), which does not detract from the charm of this magnificent display or collection piece. Fast and careful shipping 🎁.
