Set of 2 romantica lounge armchairs by piero ranzani for elam in dark wood and walnut, italy, 1960s. The straight lines of the wooden frame highlight the rounded shapes of the cushions and seats. Also noteworthy is the minimal structure of the backrest, which offers excellent support thanks to two sturdy folded metal plates that result in a good mix of materials: metal, wood, and velvet. Very interesting especially for its minimal lines and shapes. Piero ranzani was, like gio ponti for example, one of the first to use metal in this way, giving way to more minimalist constructions.
