Very rare and exceptional poster quincy verdun intrados signed in pencil verdun height 66 cm width 97 cm after graduating from the art institute of houston with a degree in commercial art, quincy verdun entered the fine arts field, creating mixed media posters and open edition art prints. The artist from south louisiana had his work exhibited at exhibitions in los angeles and new york, and it was published and widely distributed by verkerke in the netherlands. He later began to focus his efforts on sculpture, for which he had always had a great interest. He was particularly drawn to the classical works of the old masters, although he is also very inspired by the neoclassical and gothic periods. Quincy currently works in his studio in larose, louisiana, where he creates his figurative oil paintings, as well as 3d monotypes on wood panels. He sells most of his work in new orleans, on jackson square. Quincy is heavily influenced by artists such as michelangelo, vinci and rodin. It was through his admiration of these old masters that he began creating works on cast paper using a unique combination of drawings and sketches with low relief. These works are reminiscent of the sketches of michelangelo and da vinci. Some of quincy's more recent works feature a rich surface and texture, with classical and modern themes, in a contemporary setting. Quincy also produces a significant number of oil paintings, of which we offer high-quality giclee canvas prints. Be sure to check out his most recent series in the gallery; "portraits and figures: portals to the soul", which features a stunning array of exquisite works that are not to be missed.
