This stoneware mug captivates with its perfect balance between the simplicity of form and the freedom of decoration. Its slender, slightly conical silhouette fits naturally in the hand and invites daily use, while its hand-painted decoration gives it a unique and deeply sensitive presence. On a beige base punctuated with fine textures, stylised plant motifs unfold, very slightly raised, drawn in dark lines and enhanced with touches of green, brown, ochre, and muted blue. The gesture is fluid, instinctive, never static, evoking the work of pottery workshops from the 1970s and 1980s, where use naturally interacted with expression. The unmarked underside and visible firing marks beneath the base testify to a handmade or semi-handmade production, designed primarily to last. In excellent vintage condition, shiny, with a natural patina linked to time and use. Height 13.5 cm – diameter 7 cm. An ideal piece for expressive and sensitive tableware, where the potter's gesture is freely expressed in the service of daily use.
