Pair of Scandinavian candlesticks Iittala "Arkipelago" by Timo Sarpaneva

A pair of large candlesticks from the Finnish brand iittala by the designer and glass object creator Timo Sarpaneva (1926-2006). These candlesticks come from the "Arkipelago" collection launched in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Material: compressed glass with the incorporation of air bubbles. In excellent condition. No scratches, no chips, no cracks. There is just a small air bubble poorly placed at one corner, but this does not affect the object. A very nice play of transparency with sunlight (see photos). Each candlestick weighs 1.5 kg, providing very good stability.
