Pair of Scandinavian Iittala "Arkipelago" candlesticks by Timo Sarpaneva

Pair of large candlesticks from the finnish brand iittala by the designer and creator of glass objects timo sarpaneva (1926-2006). These candlesticks come from the "arkipelago" collection launched in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Material: compressed glass with incorporation of air bubbles. In excellent condition. No scratches, no chips, no cracks. There is just a small air bubble misplaced at one corner but this has no impact on the object. Very nice play of transparency with the sunlight (see photos). Each candlestick weighs 1.5 kg and therefore gives very good stability.
