Vintage oil painting of marine cargo at the quay.

The smell of diesel, the rust of the port, and the mist of the early morning. This old cargo ship has experience and immediately imposes its calm in a room. Vintage oil on canvas from the 1950s-1960s depicting a cargo ship at dock in a commercial port. Beautiful expressive workmanship with knife and brush, textured material in shades of ochre, grey, and rust. Canvas on original stretcher sold without a frame, in generally good condition with consistent signs of use. Ideal for a workshop atmosphere or a characterful interior. Signed at the bottom right.
