Large Beni Ouarain rug, 310 x 195 cm - G1053

A very distinctive Beni Ouarain rug, entirely handwoven by Amazigh artisans using traditional Berber weaving techniques. Unlike the more familiar minimalist Beni Ouarain designs, this piece features a much more expressive composition. Black geometric lines, zigzags, diamonds, and abstract patterns inspired by the Amazighs travel freely across the natural wool background, creating an almost architectural visual language. Asymmetry is an essential part of its character: the artisan develops the composition intuitively on the loom rather than reproducing a mechanically perfect pattern. The result is a rug that feels both ancestral and remarkably contemporary. Each rug is entirely handmade on a traditional Berber loom, hand-knotted by Amazigh artisans, made from 100% natural local sheep wool, woven using traditional Berber techniques, created individually, knot by knot, never mass-produced and completely unique. Colour palette: a beautifully warm natural ivory/beige wool background contrasted by deep black and charcoal details. The monochrome palette allows the complexity of the pattern to stand out while keeping the rug versatile and easy to combine with interiors. Particularly beautiful in contemporary, minimalist, Scandinavian, Japandi, Mediterranean, organic-modern, and eclectic interiors. Its black and ivory graphic composition makes it an excellent statement rug for a neutral living room, while the natural wool prevents the design from appearing cold or overly graphic.
