Magnificent asymmetrical wardrobe of very fine craftsmanship and made of solid walnut. It is very original because the lower part offers an integrated dressing table with its rounded mirror at an angle and framed in walnut, as well as two beautiful shelves - all original. It dates from the 40s/50s. The left part opens with a beautiful walnut door, onto a wardrobe equipped with its upper shelf. Shelves can be added as needed. The door has a very pretty elongated handle in gilded bronze as well as its lock entry and rounded key. The lock is also original and functional, but as it is a little capricious, the previous owner added a magnet to be able to close it without a key. But the lock nevertheless works. On the right and lower part, there are three large drawers with beautiful fronts and each equipped with their two small original round gilded handles. They slide perfectly. Finally, in the upper part, a beautiful walnut top topped with two rounded shelves at an angle and the period mirror, held on its frame by three metallized mirror clamps. The wardrobe can be dismantled into several parts and reassembling it reveals the traditional manufacturing quality. The bottoms are paneled, the walnut parts are solid - in short, high-end of the time, matching the precious wood that was chosen. The patina is original, both warm and very luminous (and particularly reactive to light) and completes this piece of furniture with discreet curves but full of softness and elegance. Some signs of wear here and there, and a small chip on the right corner of the mirror (approximately 2 cm long by 0.5 cm wide) but the overall condition is excellent. A fairly rare piece with its dressing table. H: 180 cm (lower part with mirror: 170 cm). W: 140 cm. D: 58 cm. Mirror: 61 X 57 cm. Small shelves: 61 X 2 cm. Right shelf: 68 X 52 cm.
