This stackable stool, model 202, created by isamu kenmochi, a key figure in post-war japanese design, perfectly reflects his minimalist and functional aesthetic. Kenmochi was one of the founders of japan industrial designers and collaborated with isamu noguchi from the 1950s. The stool features a dark-stained solid beech frame, combined with a green skai seat. Lightweight, stackable, and functional, it embodies the perfect alliance of modernism and craftsmanship. Original edition: akita mokko (stamped). Bibliography: japanese design since 1945, naomi pollock, editions de la martinière, october 2020, p. 53. The skai is slightly discolored.
